SEVERITY
Artimpianti is a leader specialized in gravity casting solutions that include both individual islands and "turnkey" casting systems developed in line, in cells or in a carousel. Our solutions are always flexible and customized according to the needs of the customer, the product and the available area.
Above all, we provide TAILOR-MADE SOLUTIONS which, starting from the analysis of the existing situation, seek to optimize the productivity of the foundry in compliance with the most advanced safety regulations. The proposed solutions align, where possible, with the customer's technological level, taking them from manual process management, to semi-automatic, up to the most advanced automation, always "easy to use" using ABB, KUKA, COMAU or FANUC anthropomorphic robots and systems PLC either in Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley environment.

CASTING LINE
Lines with two to three or more casting benches (fixed, tilting or rotating) with a new safe, ergonomic layout concept designed in application of the WCM (Worldclass manufacturing) and SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) concepts.
ModulArt – is the most innovative casting line of the 2000s, invented by us to facilitate the operator by increasing productivity together with intrinsic safety and the translation speed of the robots and gantry! Some competitors have already tried to copy our innovative solution because customers have verified that their OEE has actually increased beyond the required 85%!
Strengths: Modular, Innovative, High-performance, Easy to use, Safe, Modern, Easy maintenance, Convenient - the operator has easy access and good visibility of all areas and is thus facilitated in his operations, Flexible, as it manages to "modulate", design and then assemble according to the needs of the customer and his factory, Compact - if requested, it is possible to customize the layout while maintaining easy access to all areas. This allows you to integrate more machinery into the line and therefore carry out pre-processing of cooling and cutting of casting channels or external sand removal.

CASTING ISLAND
Flexible casting islands, with 2 or 3 benches, with a reduced layout (12x12 m minimum), two anthropomorphic robots for casting, core insertion, filters and piece unloading with the aim of optimizing the available space.

CASTING CAROUSEL
Casting carousel with 5, 6 or more benches, fully automated and equipped with robotic islands for core preparation, filter elimination, cooling, pre-decoring, casting channel cutting, cap opening, mold changing stations, shell preparation and pre-heating areas, blowing areas mold and paint touch-ups with safety of the operator's PLE.

CASTING SHELLING MACHINE
Artimpianti shelling machines are designed and built with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of the foundry's production process. Based on the specific needs of the customer we guarantee excellent flexibility, starting from standard solutions up to total tailor-made design. The machine can be supplied in a static, tilting or rotating solution with horizontal or vertical opening and can be equipped with a hydraulic control unit, an on-board electrical panel or with the control panel and junction boxes necessary for movement. The offer is completed by any automatic manipulators for extracting the casting or inserting the core and filter (branching).

PRECISION SAND
Core package assembly (according to Precision Sand Technology), casting and gluing stations, insertion of liners and/or filters, cooling, dismantling and/or pre-sanding of the casting, chiller insertion and/or its removal.

SOUL PACK ASSEMBLY
We equip both new "core shooting" machines and old machines that we put into communication with robots for automatic unloading, core deburring, assembly with automatic gluing, filter insertion and final palletization on thermo-molded trays or wheeled trolleys.

UNLOADING CLAMP
Customized equipment for unloading castings, both with manual hoists and "Zero Gravity" systems. Grippers with integrated vision and/or measurement systems for installation on gantry or robots, equipped with heat protection and with a 24-month warranty.
Rotating grippers with gripping fingers for flexible multi-product islands.
Double, triple or quadruple grippers for unloading multi-products or for cycle time efficiencies.

CASTING DEVICE
Zero gravity manual systems and automated systems with ceramic or metal ladles.
Rotating casting axes with fixed rotation point maintenance, ladle clamping on one side or two sides, motorization with drives for programming customized casting recipes.
Withdrawal and pouring with gantry, anthropomorphic robot or directly from the oven.

CORE DRAWING PLIERS
Dedicated core loading systems, both for cylinder heads and sub-components, suitable for both manual gantry and zero gravity systems.
Clamps with integrated vision and measurement systems to verify the integrity of the core pack, can be installed on gantry or robot.
Pliers for every type of core, complete with filter removal.
Clamp and pallet dedicated to the core pack to guarantee precision of composition and core forming with a "turnkey" formula.

FLEXIBLE ISLAND "ALL IN ONE"
For low-volume batches of products and with the need for frequent production changes, Artimpianti has created flexible casting and pre-finishing island solutions integrated with two or more benches which:
a) in the case of cylinder heads they go as far as pre-digging and cooling of the casting with cutting of the casting channels.
b) for automotive sub-components, however, they arrive at the complete de-soiling, sprue cutting, shot blasting, branding and unloading of the piece ready for the final mechanical processing department!

ARTDOSING
ArtDosing (PATENT EP15162726.2) is a new casting system intended for the cast iron foundry market, designed to guarantee short production changes and high quality standards, in order to meet the production needs of those companies that are currently using ladle and overhead crane casting systems and wish to reduce accident risks.
ArtDosing also makes it possible to produce different types of alloy on a daily basis to increase the flexibility of their production, all with a limited investment.
Foundries that are starting to produce spheroidal cast iron, without losing their existing range (e.g. grey cast iron) and/or that have a ‘non-series’ production of no more than 50,000 pieces/year, interspersed with others in small batches and different alloy types, benefit from this.
Description and advantages:
ArtDosing was created mainly to overcome the main difficulties always encountered in foundries:
-
too rigid production with casting furnace/ ladle/crane;
-
manual casting too dangerous for the operator.
Thanks to the cabin with specially designed safety systems, the operator is protected from excessive heat and splashes and can carry out all operations comfortably from a seated position (alloy pick-up and ladle filling with transport to the casting line).
Thanks to the presence of electronic discharge cells, the operator can continuously monitor the weight of the material throughout the loading, transport and casting phases via a display.
ArtDosing is also a configurable tool with many customisations and guarantees maximum casting precision thanks to the rotation fulcrum that allows constant pouring. The capacity of the ladles available ranges from 300 to 1300 kg. The choice of ladle should be made according to the customer's production requirements.
It is a semi-automatic, highly manageable system. In the event of a system failure, no molten metal is thrown away.
Other advantages:
-
little or no modification to the casting process upstream,
-
also suitable for small quantities of alloy to be cast,
-
can reach the casting/filling point safely, without the use of cranes or even additional furnaces,
-
guaranteeing a continuous and precise casting flow,
-
load capacity of molten metal from 300 to 1300 kg
-
weight control during loading/transport/casting with display,
-
allows the furnace temperature to be kept as low as 50°C, which results in considerable energy savings (no second pouring)
-
possibility of casting even with moving stirrups without stopping the moulding line
-
low investment and maintenance costs.
